I still can't sleep so I'm here blogging episode 103 on Duc-u-mentary tonight, and it's about Mother Russia throwing a hissy fit. I guess when a video game about "war" is centered around your country being directly/indirectly spawning Hitler's Hell Child of some sort then I guess it's called being "insensitive" or something like that. Just like in France, they have some hissy fit law that says that media can't portray the Nazi symbol if I'm not mistaken. So when the big war game franchises came out I could have sworn that the nazi symbols were redrawn to look differently.
Oh another big hissy fit from Europe was the Brits complaining about the cathedral used in Resistance on the PS3. They said that it was "insensitive" to host acts of war in a "holy" place. Let's look back at history and I believe some of the bloodiest events were held on "holy" sites. *cough* Jerusalem *cough* I am a firm believer in trying to preserve the historical integrity of media and I feel that some peeps take it too seriously in trying to alter it.
Now back to Russia here. Well, i'm out of typing words about Russia on this video game. Hmm...Oh yeah the original source for this article brought up a good point. The famous Bond movies villains were from Eastern Europe LOL.
I like my games untouched, not touched. Okay, that was a bad knock off haha. Video and original source story ahead:
